Project Ultimate ReShade 1.57 ETS2
This article has been thoroughly revised to provide both new and existing members with a clear and straightforward overview of the project.
In conjunction with this update, I’m excited to introduce a new Sharpness Update.
If you have noticed:
visuals that seem overly sharp or pixelated skyboxes in certain lighting conditions,
the new sharpening approach should significantly enhance the overall image quality.
Available Presets – V2 & V1 Revised
The download folder now features presets for both V2 and V1 Revised.
These are entirely distinct preset lines, each with its unique visual style and aim:
V2 – Dark, Gloomy, Atmospheric
Emphasizes deeper shadows, moody lighting, and a cinematic feel
Perfect for players who enjoy a darker, more dramatic appearance
Ideal for screenshots, realism, and an immersive driving experience
V1 Revised – Brighter, Direct Lighting
More natural and luminous
Offers a straightforward lighting experience
Best suited for consistent gameplay visibility and routine driving
Also available with various brightness levels
Both versions are fully supported, allowing you to select the style that best suits your preferences or setup.
New Sharpness Presets
Within the download folder, you’ll discover a new designated section:
“New Sharpness Presets”
These utilize an enhanced sharpening technique aimed at minimizing:
excessive sharpness
skybox pixelation
texture oversharpening
Only a limited selection of these presets is included to prevent overwhelming options, while still providing the most refined outputs.
If your existing presets are performing well, feel free to continue using them—or explore the new ones to see if you favor the updated appearance.
As always, a big thank you to everyone who supports this project, tests the presets, provides feedback, and helps shape the future of Project Ultimate. Your input truly propels the enhancements that accompany each update.
With this minor update complete, I will now concentrate fully on developing the Weather Def Mod. This will represent the next significant stride for the project, and I’m eager to further enhance the lighting and visual experience.
I’m not entirely certain how long this next phase will take, as this will be my first full endeavor involving weather definitions, but I will strive to keep you informed. Whenever I achieve noteworthy progress or have new information to share, you’ll be the first to know.
Thank you all for your support — and as always,
enjoy the drive.

Instructions for Installing ETS2 Mods or ATS Mods
Installing mods in Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a breeze. Simply download the mod from here and copy/unzip the files into the “My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod” folder. If you’re playing ATS, place the mods in the “My Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod” folder. For unzipping the files, you can use WinRAR or 7zip. After that, activate the mods you wish to use.
