About this mod
Give compatible map combinations a colourful world-map backdrop.
Melphiz’s background is redrawn to align with supported map combinations rather than exact real-world geography. It credits DOWL and ProMods as its foundation. The author recommends a full-screen map and provides a detailed load order. It uses BC7 textures and is explicitly not compatible with OpenGL. The listed game versions stop at 1.57.
Release: 1.2. Author-listed game compatibility: 1.53 1.54 1.55 1.56 1.57. Source last updated 2026-02-27. Compatibility is based on the author’s listing, not an independent in-game test.
How to install Worlds Combined Background Map v1.2
- Download the mod from truckymods.io.
- Follow the author's installation instructions. Keep ready-to-use
.scsor.zipmod packages intact; extract archives containing separate mod packages as directed. - Move the ready-to-use
.scsor.zipmod package(s) intoDocuments\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod. Create themodfolder if it isn't there. - Start the game, open the Mod Manager on the profile screen, move Worlds Combined Background Map v1.2 to Active mods and press Confirm changes.
