Is Euro Truck Simulator 2 on Android?

No. SCS Software has never released Euro Truck Simulator 2 for Android or iPhone, and every "ETS2 APK" or "ETS2 mobile" download you find is fake. This page explains why, how to avoid the scams, and the real ways to drive ETS2 on a phone or tablet.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a computer game. You can buy it for Windows, macOS and Linux on Steam and a few other PC stores, and that's where all its DLCs and mods work. The game needs a proper graphics card and a lot of memory, especially with map mods, which is one reason it has never been squeezed onto phones.

2. Why "ETS2 APK" downloads are fakes

Search for ETS2 on Android and you'll find pages offering an APK, an "OBB + data" pack or a "mobile edition". None of them are made by SCS. They're one of these:

A different, cheaper truck game renamed to look like ETS2.
Adware or malware: an app that shows endless ads, asks for permissions it doesn't need, or tries to steal accounts.
A survey or "verification" trap that never gives you a game at all.

Installing APKs from download sites means switching off Android's protection against unknown apps. For a game that doesn't exist on Android, it's never worth it. We don't link to any of these sites, and if a site promises "ETS2 for Android free", close it.

3. Playing on your phone by streaming

The real way to drive ETS2 on a phone or tablet is to run the PC version somewhere else and stream the picture to your device:

From your own PC: if you own ETS2 on Steam, Steam's free Steam Link app streams it from your computer to your phone over home Wi-Fi. Your PC does the work, so your mods and saves are all there. A controller makes it much more comfortable than touch controls.
Cloud gaming: ETS2 has been playable through NVIDIA's GeForce NOW, which runs games you own on Steam on NVIDIA's servers. You need a fast, stable connection, and players report that their own mods, saves and steering wheels don't work the same way as at home. Check the current game list and the details on NVIDIA's site before paying for it.

4. PlayStation 5 and Xbox

SCS has announced Euro Truck Simulator 2 (and American Truck Simulator) for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. In 2025 the studio said they would come in 2026 at the earliest, and as of October 2026 no release date has been announced. 5. Truck games made for phones

If you want something to play on the phone itself, choose a truck game that was actually made for mobile, and install it only from Google Play or the App Store, never from an APK site. Search the store for "truck simulator", read the reviews and check the developer's name before you install. They're simpler than ETS2, but they're genuine games.

Will SCS ever make ETS2 for phones?

SCS hasn't announced a mobile version. Its announced next platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If a mobile version ever happens, it will be announced on the SCS blog and sold through Google Play and the App Store, not as an APK on a download site.

Can I use ETS2 mods on my phone?

No. Mods only work in the PC game. If you stream from your own PC with Steam Link, the mods you've installed on that PC work as normal.

Is there a "lite" or "mobile" version of ETS2?

No. Anything called "ETS2 Lite", "ETS2 Mobile" or "ETS2 Pocket" is not from SCS.

Can my laptop run it?

Check the system requirements on the game's Steam page. Many ordinary laptops run the base game at lower settings; big map mods need more memory.
