About this mod
In the base game almost all water is the same bright blue, and the wave textures look blurry and repeat when you drive along a coast. DBM Water replaces 73 water textures: the wave maps are rebuilt from a real ocean wave model at four times the original resolution, so the water moves the same way but looks much crisper.
Each kind of water now has its own colour, from green-teal lakes and green rivers to deep blue sea, dark fjords and brown muddy water. Shore foam, waterfalls, weirs and spray were redone from free photo scans, along with beaches, river banks and stones. It's by the same author as DBM Upscaled Clusters, made for 1.61 and released on 18 October 2026.

How to install DBM Water
- Open the mod's Steam Workshop page (sign in to Steam if asked) and press Subscribe. Steam downloads it for you.
- Start Euro Truck Simulator 2. On the profile screen, open the Mod Manager.
- Find DBM Water in the list and move it to Active mods, then press Confirm changes.
Load order: Put DBM Water above map mods such as ProMods, and above DBM Terrain Textures if you use it.
Known conflicts
- Use only one water mod at a time.
