About this mod
The stock roads in ETS2 look flat and smeared up close. DBM Road Textures replaces them with surfaces made from real photographed asphalt, so you can see the stones, the grain and small joints in the tarmac from the cab. Kerbs get real concrete texture, and city pavements in Germany, the Baltics, the Balkans, Iberia, Italy and Scandinavia are redone with real paving.
Roads that had no surface detail now reflect your headlights at night, tarmac, gravel and dirt each reflect light differently, and car parks and yards no longer turn black in the distance. It's by the same author as DBM Water, built for 1.61, and it's a big download of about 5 GB.

How to install DBM Road Textures 4K
- Open the mod's Steam Workshop page (sign in to Steam if asked) and press Subscribe. Steam downloads it for you.
- Start Euro Truck Simulator 2. On the profile screen, open the Mod Manager.
- Find DBM Road Textures 4K in the list and move it to Active mods, then press Confirm changes.
Load order: Put it above map mods such as ProMods, and below other DBM lighting and sign mods.
Notes for this mod
- It's about 5 GB. On 8 GB graphics cards, lower texture quality or scaling.
- If the game crashes while loading, the author advises a bigger Windows page file (32 GB, or at least your RAM size).
- Playing ProMods? Add the companion mod DBM Textures - ProMods Road from the same author and put it above ProMods.
Known conflicts
- Replaces other road texture mods. Use only one.
