Yet Another Rain Mod (YARM)

About this mod

YARM reworks how rain looks on your truck's glass. The droplets are smaller, sharper and more numerous, the falling streaks are less distracting, and almost every drop moves. After a shower the glass takes about 15 in-game minutes to dry, and a few drops keep sliding down after the rain has stopped.

The big job was the side windows: the author redrew all 89 window masks by hand and made new ones for 27 trucks that never had them, so rain now covers every window instead of stopping at odd edges. It only replaces three textures, the glass settings and the window masks, so it doesn't touch the weather itself. Works on 1.58 to 1.61 and has over 100,000 subscribers.

How to install Yet Another Rain Mod (YARM)

1. Open the mod's Steam Workshop page (sign in to Steam if asked) and press Subscribe. Steam downloads it for you.
2. Start Euro Truck Simulator 2. On the profile screen, open the Mod Manager.
3. Find Yet Another Rain Mod (YARM) in the list and move it to Active mods, then press Confirm changes.

Load order: Put it above other rain mods such as Realistic Rain, and above graphics, weather and lighting mods.

Notes for this mod

• If the drops look jerky on 1.61, turn off V-Sync first. If that doesn't help, set anti-aliasing to SMAA only (no TAA). The author says this is a 1.61 game bug.
• The same author has optional add-ons on the Workshop: Pure Rain and Particles.
