About this mod

Frank007's Hungary Map has been in development since 2013, which makes it one of the longest-running map mods for ETS2. It's a separate, standalone world rather than an add-on to the normal map: about 70 Hungarian towns and villages so far, with the author planning more than 300.

Version 0.9.41 was posted in the official forum thread on 14 October 2026 with compatibility for ETS2 1.61 and bug fixes. It's a big download, about 3.6 GB in two parts.

Features

  • Standalone map of Hungary
  • About 70 towns, with more planned
  • Version 0.9.41 for ETS2 1.61

How to install Hungary Map

  1. Download the mod from SCS Software forum.
  2. Follow the author's installation instructions. Keep ready-to-use .scs or .zip mod packages intact; extract archives containing separate mod packages as directed.
  3. Move the ready-to-use .scs or .zip mod package(s) into Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod. Create the mod folder if it isn't there.
  4. Start the game, open the Mod Manager on the profile screen, move Hungary Map to Active mods and press Confirm changes.

Load order: From top to bottom: hungary_def, then hungary_model, then hungary_base (the files are numbered 3, 2, 1 on their mod icons).

Notes for this mod

  • Download both parts (.7z.001 and .7z.002) from the forum thread, then open only the .001 file in 7-Zip: it unpacks both parts together.
  • You end up with three .scs files: hungary_def, hungary_model and hungary_base. Put all three in your mod folder.
  • Create a new profile and choose the hungary.mbd map module when you set it up.
