About this mod

In the default game the sun rises and sets at the same times all year. This tiny mod is updated by its author every week so that daylight in ETS2 matches the real time of year. The game's own system then works out local times, so the sun still rises earlier in Warsaw than in Paris and stays up longer over Oslo in summer.

It only moves sunrise and sunset. Time passes at the normal speed. It's one of the most popular mods on the Workshop, with over half a million subscribers.

How to install Actual Day-/Nighttime Mod

  1. Open the mod's Steam Workshop page (sign in to Steam if asked) and press Subscribe. Steam downloads it for you.
  2. Start Euro Truck Simulator 2. On the profile screen, open the Mod Manager.
  3. Find Actual Day-/Nighttime Mod in the list and move it to Active mods, then press Confirm changes.

Load order: Put it above any map or weather mod.

Notes for this mod

  • In winter, switch off the in-game time zones option, or sunrise and sunset will be an hour out. To keep time zones on, the author recommends adding "Winter Time Zones [ETS2]" by tkk7406, directly below this mod.

Part of these mod sets: Night driving & lights set, Realism starter set. Each set has the whole load order worked out.
